Rev. Fiona J. Reynolds
It does seem slightly odd that one of the newest members of our church family here in Monifieth Parish Church gets a page all to herself! The title of ‘minister’ means I have the joy and privilege of being the name associated with this congregation—now and in the years to come. However, whilst I may be a public face, I am definitely not the sum total of Monifieth Parish Church. Instead, this congregation is a wonderful collection of people—of different ages, genders, political persuasions, marital statuses, you name it—all different, but all called by God into this particular family to share life together.
And the messy thing we call “life” is what church is all about. In church, we recognise that all we are and all we have comes from God our Creator, who wants us to have life in all its fullness (John 10:10). Yet this desire is not just for us as individuals but for everyone, and that we have been blessed by God, not just for our own sakes, but so that we might be a blessing to others (Genesis 12:2). Like many churches all over Scotland and, indeed, across the world, Monifieth Parish Church have been living out this belief in many different ways: some of which you can explore on this website. But what drew my husband, Scott, and me here in particular was how they do so with such with warmth, determination and a fantastic sense of fun!
Feel free to explore our website. Feel free to join us for worship on Sunday mornings. Feel free to come and try out one of our many activities. Feel free to ask questions or bring suggestions. In short, feel free to come and see if this is a family you’d like to share your life with, too.
